Annual Convention Fee Update for Local Charters

The Ethiopian World Federation, Incorporated (EWF) would like to inform all Local Charters of the Annual Convention Fee requirement of $120 USD and the newly available flexible payment options designed to make compliance easier and more accessible.

This fee supports the planning, administration, and execution of The EWF Annual Convention and helps ensure that our collective work continues with organization, transparency, and sustainability.

RESOLUTION 08/10/2024-005 Be it Resolved that: THE ETHIOPIAN WORLD FEDERATION, INCORPORATED is a membership organization that is international in scope.

That a Convention Fee be implemented at a rate of one hundred twenty dollars ($120.00) in (US/Birr/etc.,) to be paid by each Local annually to the International Executive Council (IEC).  The Convention Fee can be paid in monthly installments of ten dollars ($10.00).  This Fee should be paid in full by the scheduling of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) (the first Month in July of the present Election year).  This would allow each Local, one (1) calendar year to pay this fee which would be solely for expenditures to host the Convention and Election for the Global Membership of TEWF, INC.  In the event Locals are not able to submit payment because of various restrictions on sending money to America, that fee should be collected and maintained in their jurisdiction and proof be supplied to the IEC monthly.  That funding can only be utilized for expenses that the Local identifies to the IEC and IEC approves.  RATIFIED AND RESOLVED

  • Purpose: Convention planning, administrative costs, and operational support

Payment of the Annual Convention Fee is an important part of remaining in good standing with the International Executive Council (IEC).

New Flexible Payment Options

Local Charters may now choose the payment option that best suits their needs:

Option 1: Pay in Full

  • One-time payment of $120 USD
  • Fastest way to complete the requirement

Option 2: Monthly Auto Pay

  • $10 USD per month 
  • Automatic recurring payments paid via secured payment link
  • Spread the cost across the year

Option 3: Partial Payments

  • Make partial payments in $10 increments, for example $10, $20, $30, $40 and so on
  • Balance must total $120 USD to be considered paid in full
  • This allows flexibility for Locals to make partial payments without the commitment of auto pay

Local Charters may submit payments using:

  • Secure payment links (this option has additional processing fees)
  • US bank transfer
  • Zelle
